The pardon of the Bulgarian physicians has caused an international scandal
30 July 2007On Wednesday, July, 25, Libyan authorities have handed over to the representative of Bulgarian Mission in Tripoli note of protest in connection with the pardon of six physicians sentenced by the Libyan court to life imprisonment and extradited to Bulgaria, informs France Presse.
The note has been handed to the first Secretary of embassy. The document says, Libya protests against the violation of agreement about the ex-tradition, signed by the parties in 1984.
On Wednesday, July, 25 families of the Libyan children infected with AIDS called the government of Libya to break off diplomatic relation with Bulgaria, deport all citizens of this country and cut off cooperation with the companies of Bulgaria. “Families of infected children have expressed their indignation and resentment concerning the recklessness shown by Bulgaria and its authorities at the pardon of nurses”, - states the appeal.
According to the statement of children’s relatives, their infection has been made deliberately and is a part of a plot of the West against Moslems and Libya.
On Tuesday, July, 24, the plane of the French president has delivered physicians from Tripoli to Sofia. Soon after it became known that the president of Bulgaria has pardoned physicians.
