Great Britain expels four Russian diplomats from the country

Four Russian diplomats will be expelled from Great Britain in reply to Russia’s refusal to extradite businessman Andrey Lugovoy accused by the British in participation of murder of FSB ex-officer Alexander Litvinenko, has declared David Miliband, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Besides, it is decided to toughen a visa procedure with Russia, informed Miliband. Minister has reminded a history of the espionage scandal, and that traces of polonium were present at the plane on which Lugovoy arrived and departed from London.
He has called “disappointing” refusal of Moscow to extradite Lugovoy. In this connection Britain will change the order of visas’ issue to Russians. And in case if Luguvoy will go to the other country, London will strive for his extradition.
“If mister Lugovoy will go to any other country, we will strive for his extradition from other countries”, declared David Miliband.
Russia has founded the refusal to extradite Lugovoy claiming that it contradicts the Constitution of the Russian Federation. “Yes, it is so”, recognized the British minister, however, as he said, “there is a number of cases when in similar situations countries made amendments to the Constitution which would allow to extradite criminals to the countries where the crimes were committed.
