4 July 2007The largest consignment of cocaine in the history of the country is confiscated in Ireland.
Seizure became possible due to an accident.
Near to the coast of Cork County crashed the boat with about a ton of cocaine.
Workers of life-saving service found out about 50 packages with drugs. Their cost exceeds 70 million euro, informs “the First channel”.
Now 2 criminals from the boat are in hospital under the strengthened police custody.
Senegal police have also seized record for this country consignment of cocaine - about 1,25 tons, at the cost of 100 million dollars at the price of the “black market�.
On the case about drugs smuggling 6 persons, who transported drugs on a vessel, have been arrested, informs BBC.
Among the arrested persons there are three locals, other three - citizens of Columbia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Also two units of the weapon are confiscated.
The Western Africa recently became the basic trans-shipment point of cocaine transportation from Latin America to Europe.
