Dutch police search the home of the suspect in the case of Natalee Holloway disappearance
1 May 2007About 20 Netherlands` investigators made a comprehensive search of the area outside the home of Joran van der Sloot, a suspect once detained in the investigation of the case of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway disappearance. It was the first time when the police had searched Van der Sloot estate.
A spokeswoman for the Prosecutor’s Office, Vivian van der Biezen, declared that the investigation had never stopped and the Dutch authorities were reviewing the case for new evidences.
Reporters, waiting from outside the house of the suspect, noted that they did not see if police officers carried anything away from the search. It also remained known whether the searchers went inside the main residence area of the house.
Lets remind, That Natalee Holloway disappeared May 30, 2005 the day before she together with her classmates planed to return back from a trip to Aruba. The last time she was seen together with Joran Van der Sloot and his friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe leaving a bar.
All they were detained and questioned in the case, but then released. Van der Sloot stated that he was with Holloway the night she disappeared, but he left her alone on the beach and didn’t see later.
