Virginia killer was declared ”mentally ill’’
20 April 2007Cho Seung-Hui, so called Virginia killer, chased two female students on campus and was once called “mentally ill” and an “imminent danger to others” in a 2005 by a judge who ordered him to undergo a psychological test. He was temporarily detained by the magistrate but the following day outpatient treatment instead was approved.
After the tragedy, more information about Cho, who killed 32 people in the Virginia Tech campus Monday, began to come forward:
In November and December 2005, two female students turned to the campus police about phone calls and email messages which they had received from Cho. Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said both women considered these messages annoying, but not threatening.
New York NBC News received mailed by Cho package between the first 7:15 shootings at a hostel and the second rage at the engineering building two hours later. According to NBC the package contained a “manifesto” and pictures of the student with weapons.
Cho was once removed from an English class because of his behavior and brutality-filled messages.
One of Cho’s professors was so alarmed by Cho’s writings that he passed them to campus police, but no official answer followed.
