Chinese authorities introduce Internet - censorship
13 February 2008Chinese authorities have introduced new rules which provide for the state control over the Internet-space to keep development of the Chinese nation in a healthy direction.
The Ministry of information science of Chinese People’s Republic has informed, new rules will induce operators of video- and audio-sites to place in Internet only positive information which is in line with interests of the society.
According to the new rules, materials of pornographic or slanderous character, and also materials which propagandize violence can’t be published in the World-Wide Web.
It is known that the sites, which for the certain time will work without violations of new rules, can apply for an independent broadcasting on the Internet.
