The leader of an international hacker grouping is arrested
4 December 2007Police of New Zealand has detained the 18-years-old young man known as AKILL. He is suspected of heading of the international hacker grouping A-Team, writes The New Zealand Herald.
Besides according to the investigation, he was one of the organizers of a large-scale DDoS-attack on servers of Philadelphia University last year in the USA.
The Dutch authorities have conducted an independent investigation and found out that the person nicknamed AKILL was involved in hacker attacks with 1,3 million computers.
The young hacker is also suspected of money resources theft from bank accounts and organization of DDoS-attacks. The damage is estimated in $19 millions.
Experts mark that DDoS-attack consists in the mass call to a server which can not answer then normal inquiries.
