British police has arrested the drunken pilot before take-off of the liner
2 November 2007The British police have arrested at London airport Heathrow the reserve pilot of the passenger liner belonging to Virgin Atlantic airline who was in a state of intoxication.
Arrest has taken place during the last police check up of the liner before taking-off: the plane with 266 passengers onboard should make flight on a route of London - Miami. As a result, the flight has been postponed.
Duties of the reserve pilot in crew of an air liner include piloting the plane in case if the commander and the second pilot are unable for some reasons to control it.
Later the guilty pilot has been released on bail, and all crew for the period of investigation has been suspended.
