3 million cyber-crimes fixed in 2006

About three millions offences were committed in 2006 in the Internet - consider the experts from the company 1871, who have studied the crime rate in a network.
On the average, cyber-criminals perpetrate each 12 seconds, gives the information from the research The Telegraph.
Law enforcement bodies do not know about 90 percent of such offences as very often victims of cyber-criminals do not know that the law has been broken, or consider, that police will not investigate the case.
It is noteworthy, according to 1871, that the majority of crimes do not concern financial frauds, but quite ordinary, at first sight, in a life of network community elements of online-squabbles, such as insult and threat, and also their less widespread consequences, as, for example, blackmail.
Except for network squabbles, experts have counted 207000 cases of financial frauds, including – use of stolen information about numbers of credit cards and bank accounts, 144500 cases of computers breakings and 850 thousand crimes in sexual sphere, such as downloading of children pornography or persecution of minors.
