In the Great Britain thieves have dug a 20-meter tunnel to steal a cash machine

31 August 2007

The British thieves have dug a 20-meter tunnel under the ground to steal a cash machine. The underground construction in Manchester was casually found out by builders, and the invention of “diggers” has come to nothing.
Undermining came to an end all in seven meters from a cash machine and the exit from it on a surface from the opposite side near a railroad embankment has been disguised with the help of a tree and soil. There were found a spade and other tools.
The tunnel has been found casually by builders during laying of a cable. When workers have gone down downwards, they have quickly understood that became witnesses of the incomplete crime.
Now the investigation tries to answer a question, whether criminals planned to steal cash machine entirely or hoped to make pilferages imperceptibly for a long time.
Let’s add that in 2003 in Italy carabineers found and have destroyed the whole underground labyrinth of a mafia. It consisted of a set of the bunkers connected among themselves.
