Georgia has called Russia to put an end to support of separative regimes
29 August 2007The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko on Monday, August, 27, has been invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to meet with deputy minister Merab Antadze in connection with last events in Abkhazia.
“The ambassador has been invited in connection with the events, occurring last time in Abkhazia, in particular, in connection with large-scale war games. The Georgian side has expressed concern about deliveries of arms and technical equipment from territory of Russia for separative regimes, training and logistical maintenance of separatists’ military formations by Russian military officers”, - is spoken in the message of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Georgian side insists that Russia has stopped uncoordinated with Georgian authorities actions in conflict zones and has put an end to support of separative regimes, and also expresses readiness for bilateral dialogue at any level.
Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is confident that joint efforts will enable achievement of essential progress in peace settlement of the conflict.
