The arrested spy has estimated the Spanish secrets in 200 thousand dollars
31 July 2007The former employee of the National Intelligence Center arrested by the Spanish special services asked the Russian intelligence officers 200 thousand dollars “in exchange for the information”, informs AFP. This was said in the letter which has been found during the search at home of the unsuccessful spy.
Roberto Flores Garcia has been arrested on Monday, August, 23, on one of the Canary Islands. During the search incidental to arrest investigators have found out copies of the documents sold by him, which contained the names of agents working for the Spanish special services.
According to the head of the Intelligence center Alberto Sais, since December 2001 till February, 2004 Garcia has sold names of dozens of agents and also has disclosed the information on structure of the Spanish intelligence for a large fee.
Sais has not specified, for whom worked the spy, however the Spanish mass-media claim that for the Russian special services. Embassy of Russia in Madrid has refused to make comments on these messages.
